2021 Academy Awards Red Carpet

Last night's Oscars set a high bar for fashion, despite the setback and changes made due to the pandemic. Despite the complete shocker of the Best Actor award going to Anthony Hopkins and not the late Chadwick Boseman, there were many winners for the evening and the awards were split pretty evenly this year. With Covid restrictions in place, the show was separated into two venues and given an innovative approach by making the awards seem like a movie about an award show from beginning to end. Not to upstage the atmosphere of the event, celebrities of all listings brought their A-game to the red carpet and we're going to tell you some of our favorite looks of the evening.

Maria Bakalova

Bringing Old Hollywood to the coveted red carpet, the 24 year old Maria Bakalova appeared in a gorgeous Louis Vuitton tulle and satin dress that featured various crystals and beads with a deep V-neck. Paired with diamond jewelry, classy up-do, and a red lip, Bakalova was absolutely stunning.

Angela Bassett

Never one to disappoint, Angela Bassett brought drama and glamour to the Oscars red carpet while wowing audiences around the world and fellow actors with her beauty. The notice-me red Alberta Ferretti gown with large dramatic sleeves and large slit in the skirt deserved an academy award all on its own.

Regina King

Not only did she open the ceremony with extremely powerful remarks, Regina also wowed everyone on the red carpet with her custom Louis Vuitton gown. The beautiful duchess-satin dress in a stunning blue with dramatic sleeves and crystal and sequin details sets the standard for Hollywood glam.

Halle Berry

Proving that she can still rock the red carpet, Halle Berry debuted a whole new bowl cut with bangs and a gorgeous purple gown. Designed by Dolce & Gabbana, the gown made the actress look like a goddess.

Carey Mulligan

The Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee left a golden trail as she walked the carpet this year. Carey Mulligan stunned audiences with her fully embroidered with sequins and pearls gown designed by Valentino Haute Couture.

Amanda Seyfried

She may not have been the only one in red, but Amanda Seyfried made red HER color. The all tulle Armani gown with a deep v-neck stunned with minimal accessorizing and a dark lip that had us screaming Mamma Mia!

Zendaya

People are still talking about the Spiderman actress' red carpet dress the next day. Never one to disappoint, Zendaya wowed us all with her bright yellow Valentino gown, matching mask, and long flowing hair the moment she stepped onto the carpet!
