May is here and the second part of last year's theme for the Met Gala continues! As we know, the theme for the past two years have been centered around fashion in America. Typically, when May comes around, celebrities, designers, and fashion lovers alike begin to feel the excitement of ‘part of the year’s commencement. In this case, the party of the year is the infamous Met Gala, wildly also hailed as the “Oscars of the East Coast.” Formerly known as the Costume Institute Gala or the Costume Institute Benefit it has been hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume institute in New York City for more than 73 years.
